“iMS” stands for innovative medical systems – and that precisely describes our range of products. The very first product, the patented “simLa®6” 1940 nm diode laser, takes endovenous laser therapy (EVLT) to a new level.
Our secret? We deliberately chose to focus on one “topic” – one specialty/application. Our interdisciplinary team combines decades of concentrated experience from the development to the application of medical laser systems.
Michael Schubert specialized in optics and laser physics during his physics studies and obtained his doctorate as a mechanical engineer at the Institut für Strahlwerkzeuge (IFSW) at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Since 1993, Dr. Schubert has focused on medical laser applications. Most recently as head of development at a medium-sized manufacturer of medical lasers.
Convinced of the superiority of the simLa vein laser, he filed his patent for the medical application of 1940nm lasers in September 2016, which was the foundation for iMS GmbH in Tutzing. From the very beginning, Michael Schubert has cooperated closely with many development partners and idea givers, including renowned vascular surgeons and phlebologists.
Marius Lux has almost 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. Of this, more than 10 years in sales and 7 years in international marketing and product management for cardiovascular products. With his sales and marketing-orientated focus, he is responsible for international sales and marketing at iMS.
Marius Lux holds a degree in business administration with a specialisation in marketing from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences.
Torsten Kühnle has over 20 years of experience in sales. As Managing Director, he was responsible for the internationalization of a medium-sized wholesale and retail company.
After more than 6 years in the business of endovenous laser therapy, Mr. Kühnle is an experienced and sought-after contact person among the iMS customers and responsible for sales in the German market.
From the start, a wide variety of specialist medical knowledge and practical experience from hospitals and medical practices was incorporated in the optimization of the simLa venous laser – since 2018, also from international sources. The valuable practical expertise of our phlebology experts and vascular surgeons makes a key contribution to the continued development of the minimally-invasive treatment of varicosis.
